So, what is alho-frances?
Alho-frances, also known as French garlic or leek in English, is a versatile and flavorful ingredient used in many cuisines around the world. With a mild, sweet onion-like taste, alho-frances can be eaten raw or cooked in various dishes like soups, stews, omelets, and quiches. This long, slender vegetable is a member of the Allium family and has a white stem and green leaves that can be chopped finely or sliced for added texture and flavor. Alho-frances is rich in vitamins A and C, as well as minerals like iron and calcium, making it a healthy addition to any meal.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
