So, what is berenjenas?
Berenjenas, also known as eggplants, are a versatile vegetable commonly used in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. With their glossy, deep purple skin and tender, creamy flesh, they add a delicious and distinct flavor to dishes. Rich in fiber, potassium, and antioxidants, berenjenas are a healthy addition to any diet. They can be grilled, roasted, fried, or sautéed, and are commonly used in dishes such as ratatouille, baba ghanoush, and moussaka. Berenjenas are also a great vegetarian substitute for meat in dishes like eggplant parmesan or stuffed eggplants.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
