So, what is carmines?
Carmines are a natural food coloring made from the dried, crushed bodies of the cochineal insect. They are bright red in color and are commonly used in a variety of food products, such as candies, beverages, and cosmetics. Carmines have been used as a coloring agent for centuries, and are considered safe for consumption by many regulatory bodies. However, they may cause allergic reactions in some individuals. Due to their bright and intense color, carmines are often used to enhance the visual appeal of food products and add a unique touch to various recipes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
