So, what is hops?
Hops are a crucial ingredient in the brewing process of beer. These green, cone-shaped flowers come from the hop plant, and their bitterness helps balance the sweetness of the malted grains in beer. Hops also contribute to the flavor and aroma of beer, with different varieties offering distinct notes of citrus, pine, or floral scents. In addition to their role in brewing, hops have been used for centuries in herbal medicine for their calming and sedative effects, and are believed to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
