So, what is jaune œufs?
Jaune oeufs is a French term that translates to "egg yolk" in English. This ingredient is a rich and creamy yellow substance found in the center of an egg. It's loaded with nutrients like protein, vitamins A, D, and E, and cholesterol. Egg yolks are commonly used in baking to add richness and moisture to cakes, pastries, and custards. They can also be whisked together with oil or butter to create homemade mayonnaise or used as a base for hollandaise sauce. Jaune oeufs can even be enjoyed on their own by poaching them gently in simmering water.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
