So, what is kapers?
Capers are small, round, and plump flower buds that come from the caper bush. These buds are typically harvested before they blossom into flowers, giving them their distinct tangy and briny flavor. Capers are commonly used in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes as a flavor enhancer for sauces, salads, and fish dishes. They are often pickled in vinegar or salt to preserve their texture and taste. Capers also contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, making them a healthy addition to any cuisine. With their unique and bold flavor profile, capers add a burst of complexity to any dish they are used in.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
