So, what is kers?
Kers, also known as Ramontchi berries, are small edible fruits that grow on the deciduous shrub. It has a sour and slightly sweet flavor and is often used to make jams, jellies, and syrups. The deep red, almost black color of kers makes it an excellent natural dye for fabrics. Kers is rich in antioxidants, flavonoids, and vitamin C, making it a nutritious addition to any meal. This versatile ingredient can be used in both sweet and savory dishes, adding a unique and tangy taste.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
