So, what is laktos?
Laktos, also known as lactose, is a type of sugar commonly found in milk and other dairy products. It is a disaccharide made up of glucose and galactose molecules, and it plays a crucial role in the nutrition of young mammals, including humans. However, some individuals are unable to fully digest lactose due to a deficiency of the enzyme lactase, leading to symptoms such as bloating, gas, and diarrhea. Laktos is commonly used in the food industry as a sweetener and texture enhancer, and it can also be found in medications and other products.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
