So, what is mono- et diglycérides d'acides gras alimentaires?
Mono- et diglycérides d'acides gras alimentaires, or in English, monoglycerides and diglycerides of fatty acids, are commonly used food emulsifiers that help stabilize and improve the texture of many processed foods. These ingredients are created by combining glycerol with fatty acids, which are derived from vegetable or animal sources. They are often found in baked goods, dairy products, and spreads, as well as in some processed meats and beverages. Mono- et diglycérides d'acides gras alimentaires are generally considered safe for consumption and are approved by regulatory agencies worldwide. However, some people with certain dietary restrictions may need to avoid products containing these ingredients.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
