So, what is obers?
Obers, also known as Schlagsahne, is a rich and creamy dairy product commonly used in German cuisine. It is a type of heavy cream with a butterfat content of 30-40%, which gives it a luscious texture and a slightly sweet flavor. Obers is often used as a topping for desserts such as cakes, pies, and fruit salads, but it can also be whipped into a fluffy cream and used as a filling for pastries or as a base for sauces. Due to its high fat content, obers should be used in moderation, but its indulgent taste makes it a perfect addition to special occasion dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
