So, what is truffles?
Truffles are a type of edible fungi with a distinctive earthy, pungent aroma and flavor. These highly prized delicacies grow underground, primarily in regions with temperate climates and calcareous soil. Truffles have a lumpy, irregular shape and are usually harvested in the winter months. They are commonly used in gourmet cuisine, where they are shaved or grated over pasta, risotto, and other dishes to add depth and complexity to the flavors. Truffles are also a rich source of nutrients, including protein, fiber, and antioxidants, making them a healthy and flavorful addition to any meal.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
