So, what is .tomate?
Tomatoes, scientifically known as Solanum lycopersicum, are a versatile fruit used in many cuisines worldwide. They are rich in antioxidants, vitamins C and K, and potassium. With a sweet and slightly acidic flavor, tomatoes can be eaten raw or cooked, adding depth and color to any dish. They come in different sizes, shapes, and colors, from small cherry tomatoes to large beefsteak tomatoes. Tomatoes are used in various dishes, including salads, sauces, soups, and stews. They are a staple in Mediterranean cuisine, where they are used to make gazpacho, pizza, and pasta sauce.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
