So, what is aceite de palmiste hidrogenado?
Aceite de palmiste hidrogenado is a hydrogenated form of palm kernel oil that is commonly used in food processing. It is derived from the kernels of the oil palm fruit and has a creamy, smooth texture that makes it an ideal ingredient for baked goods, confectioneries, and other similar products. Its high melting point and ability to remain solid at room temperature allow it to give structure and stability to various food applications. Despite its widespread use, there are concerns about the impact of palm oil production on the environment and deforestation. As such, it's important to source sustainably-produced palm oil derivatives like aceite de palmiste hidrogenado.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
