So, what is acessulfame k?
Acesulfame K, also known as Ace-K, is a calorie-free sweetener that is commonly used as an alternative to sugar in food and beverage products. It is approximately 200 times sweeter than sugar and is often blended with other low-calorie sweeteners to enhance sweetness. Acesulfame K is heat stable and can be used in a wide range of products, including baked goods, soft drinks, and chewing gum. Although it is approved for use by many regulatory agencies, some studies suggest that it may have negative effects on health if consumed in large amounts.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
