So, what is acide alginique?
Acide alginique, also known as alginate acid, is a natural polysaccharide found in the cell walls of brown seaweed. It is commonly used as a thickening agent, emulsifier, and stabilizer in the food industry. Its unique properties make it an ideal ingredient for products such as ice cream, yogurt, and salad dressings. Acide alginique can also be used to create gels and foams, making it a popular ingredient in molecular gastronomy. It is considered safe for consumption and is often used in vegan and vegetarian food products.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
