So, what is ammoniumchlorid?
Ammonium chloride, also known as sal ammoniac, is a white crystalline powder with a slightly acidic taste. It is commonly used as a food ingredient in baked goods such as bread and cookies to help with leavening and dough rising. Ammonium chloride can also be used as a flavoring agent, imparting a slightly salty taste to certain foods. Additionally, it is used in various industrial processes such as metal cleaning and electronics manufacturing. However, excessive consumption of ammonium chloride may lead to health issues such as stomach pain and vomiting, so it should be consumed in moderation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
