So, what is apocarotenal?
Apocarotenal is a natural pigment derived from carotenoids, which are organic compounds found in plants. It is commonly used as a food coloring agent, giving products a bright orange hue. Unlike some synthetic food colorings, apocarotenal is considered safe and has been approved for use by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. This versatile ingredient is often used in a variety of foods, including dairy products, confectionery, and beverages. In addition to its color properties, apocarotenal also has antioxidant properties that may provide health benefits.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
