So, what is arpagic?
Arpagic, also known as Allium ampeloprasum var. porrum, is a unique and versatile ingredient commonly used in Mediterranean cuisine. It belongs to the onion family and has a mild, sweet flavor with a hint of garlic. Arpagic can be used in a variety of dishes, including soups, stews, and salads, and can also be grilled, roasted, or sautéed. Its green leaves are often used as a garnish, while its white bulb is prized for its tender texture and delicate flavor. Arpagic is also rich in vitamins and minerals, making it a nutritious addition to any dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
