So, what is askorbinsyra?
Ascorbinsyra, also known as ascorbic acid or Vitamin C, is a powerful antioxidant commonly found in citrus fruits and leafy green vegetables. This water-soluble vitamin plays a crucial role in maintaining the health of skin, cartilage, bones, and blood vessels, as well as boosting the immune system. Ascorbinsyra is often used as an ingredient in food processing to enhance the shelf life of various products, including juices, baked goods, and cured meats. It is also commonly used as a natural preservative in cosmetics and skincare products. Additionally, ascorbinsyra has various industrial applications, including as a reducing agent in the production of photographic film and as a polymerization initiator in the manufacture of synthetic rubber.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
