So, what is aspartaam?
Aspartaam is an artificial sweetener commonly used as a sugar substitute in various food and beverage products. It is about 200 times sweeter than sugar and is often used in diet sodas, chewing gum, and other low-calorie foods. Aspartaam is made up of two amino acids, aspartic acid and phenylalanine, and is metabolized in the body like other proteins. Although it has been approved by regulatory agencies as safe for human consumption, some people may experience negative side effects such as headaches, dizziness, and gastrointestinal issues.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
