So, what is ausgewählte kulturen?
"Ausgewählte Kulturen" is a German term that refers to selected cultures or strains of microorganisms used in food production. These cultures are carefully chosen for their unique flavor, texture, and aroma properties, and are often used in the production of fermented foods such as cheese, yogurt, sauerkraut, and sourdough bread. These cultures play an important role in the fermentation process, converting sugars and other compounds into lactic acid, alcohol, and other organic acids that give fermented foods their distinctive tangy flavor. The use of ausgewählte kulturen is a traditional and time-honored technique that enhances the flavor and nutritional value of many different types of foods.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
