So, what is avela?
Avela, also known as filberts, are a type of nut that grow on small trees in temperate regions around the world. They have a distinctive sweet and buttery flavor, with a slightly crunchy texture. Avela is a versatile ingredient and can be used in both sweet and savory dishes. It's often consumed as a snack or garnish, but also works well in baking recipes like cookies, cakes, and bread. These nuts are a great source of healthy fats, protein, fiber, and various vitamins and minerals, making them a nutritious addition to any diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
