So, what is beet?
Beets are a root vegetable that come in a variety of colors including deep red, golden, and striped. They have a sweet and earthy flavor, with a slightly bitter aftertaste. Beets are a nutritional powerhouse, packed with vitamins and minerals such as folate, potassium, and fiber. They also contain antioxidants that help protect against inflammation and disease. Beets are incredibly versatile in the kitchen and can be roasted, boiled, pickled, or blended into smoothies. They are a popular addition to salads and can also be used to make vibrant natural food coloring.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
