So, what is bisulfite de potassium?

Potassium bisulfite, also known as bisulfite de potassium in French, is a food preservative and antioxidant commonly used in the food industry. It is a white crystalline powder that is water-soluble and has a slightly sulfurous odor. Potassium bisulfite is used to prevent the growth of microorganisms and to extend the shelf life of food products. It is commonly found in wine, beer, and other fermented beverages, as well as in processed fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, and meats. In addition to its preservative properties, potassium bisulfite also has antioxidant properties, which can help prevent oxidation and spoilage of food products.
