So, what is brochet?

Brochet, also known as Northern Pike, is a freshwater fish that inhabits rivers, lakes and ponds across the Northern Hemisphere. With a long, slender body and distinctive green and yellow coloring, brochet has a firm, white flesh that is mildly sweet and delicate in flavor. It can be prepared in a variety of ways, including grilling, baking, or poaching, and pairs well with a range of herbs and spices. Brochet is an excellent source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and essential vitamins and minerals, making it a nutritious and delicious addition to any meal.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like brochet?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
