So, what is calciumsulfat?
Calcium sulfate, also known as gypsum, is a white crystalline powder commonly used as a food additive. It is derived from the naturally occurring mineral gypsum and is often added to foods as a source of calcium, which is important for maintaining healthy bones and teeth. Calcium sulfate is commonly found in baked goods, such as bread and pastries, where it helps to improve texture and extend shelf life. It is also used in the production of tofu and other soy products to coagulate the soy milk and form a solid curd. In addition to its culinary applications, calcium sulfate is used in a variety of industrial applications, including as a building material and in the production of plaster of Paris.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
