So, what is caroteen?
Caroteen is a pigment found in certain fruits and vegetables, particularly in carrots, sweet potatoes, and pumpkins. This phytochemical is a type of carotenoid that gives these foods their characteristic orange color. Caroteen is also a potent antioxidant that helps to protect the body against the harmful effects of free radicals. In addition, studies suggest that caroteen may have anti-inflammatory properties and may help to support a healthy immune system. Including caroteen-rich foods in your diet may promote healthy skin, eyes, and overall health.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
