So, what is cavala?
Cavala, also known as the horse mackerel, is a popular fish found in the Atlantic and Mediterranean waters. This silver-skinned fish is elongated and torpedo-shaped with a slightly flattened body, making it an excellent swimmer. It has a firm texture and a mild, slightly sweet taste that pairs well with various seasonings and sauces. Cavala is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, and protein, making it a healthy addition to any diet. It can be grilled, baked, or fried and is a staple in Mediterranean and Portuguese cuisines.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
