So, what is cichorei?
Cichorei, also known as chicory, is a leafy vegetable with a slightly bitter taste that is often used in salads or as a coffee substitute. It has a rich history dating back to ancient Egypt, where it was valued for its medicinal properties. Cichorei is high in fiber and antioxidants, making it a great addition to any diet. Its leaves can be eaten raw or cooked, while the root can be roasted and ground to make a caffeine-free coffee alternative. Cichorei is also used in traditional medicine as a digestive aid and immune booster.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
