So, what is citronelle?
Citronelle, also known as lemongrass, is a versatile herb commonly used in Southeast Asian cuisine. With its long, slender, pale-green stalks and citrusy aroma, citronelle adds a bright and refreshing flavor to dishes. Its unique flavor profile is a blend of lemon and ginger, with a hint of mint. Citronelle is often used in curries, soups, stir-fries, and marinades. In addition to its culinary uses, citronelle is also used in traditional medicine to relieve muscle pain, reduce fever, and aid digestion. Its essential oil is also used in aromatherapy to reduce stress and promote relaxation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
