So, what is cogombre?
Cogombre, also known as the "cucumber" in English, is a refreshing and versatile food ingredient that is widely used in culinary dishes worldwide. This cylindrical-shaped fruit belongs to the gourd family and has a crisp, light-green skin with a juicy, pale interior. It is rich in water content, making it an ideal ingredient for salads, pickles, and cold soups. Cogombres have a mild, refreshing taste with a slight sweetness that pairs well with various herbs and spices. They are low in calories, high in dietary fiber, and contain several essential vitamins and minerals, making them a healthy addition to any meal.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
