So, what is colorants bêtacarotène?
Beta-carotene is a natural pigment that belongs to the carotenoid family. It is commonly used as a colorant in the food industry to enhance the visual appeal of various food products. This natural orange-red pigment is extracted from fruits and vegetables like carrots, sweet potatoes, and pumpkins. Apart from its visual appeal, beta-carotene is also known for its antioxidant properties that help protect the body from damage caused by free radicals. It is often used in the production of margarine, dairy products, beverages, and baked goods to give them a vibrant and appealing appearance.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
