So, what is coque?
Coque is a traditional and versatile ingredient in French cuisine, also known as cockles. These small, saltwater clams have a delicate flavor that pairs well with white wine, garlic, and other herbs. Coque can be enjoyed on their own as a flavorful appetizer or added to various seafood dishes for an extra touch of briny goodness. These tiny shellfish are also a good source of protein, making them a nutritious addition to any meal. When purchasing coque, look for closed shells as open ones are not safe for consumption.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
