So, what is curcuma?
Curcuma, also known as turmeric, is a bright yellow spice commonly used in Indian, Middle Eastern, and Southeast Asian cuisine. Its distinctive earthy flavor and slightly bitter taste make it a popular ingredient in curries, rice dishes, and stews. Curcuma is also a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent, thanks to its high concentration of curcumin. It has been used for centuries in traditional medicine to treat a range of ailments, from digestive issues to joint pain. In addition to its culinary and medicinal uses, curcuma is also used as a natural dye for textiles and cosmetics.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
