So, what is de carthame?
Carthame, also known as safflower, is a thistle-like plant that produces seeds which are commonly used in cooking. The seeds are typically ground into a fine powder or pressed to extract oil. Carthame has a mild, nutty flavor and is often used as a substitute for saffron due to its similar bright yellow color. Carthame oil is also used in skincare and haircare products for its moisturizing and nourishing properties. Additionally, carthame seeds are rich in antioxidants and healthy fats, making them a nutritious addition to any diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
