So, what is difosfaten?
Difosfaten is a food ingredient that belongs to the group of phosphates. It is commonly used as an emulsifier, stabilizer, and leavening agent in baked goods, processed meats, and dairy products. Difosfaten works by regulating the acidity levels in food, which can help to enhance texture, flavor, and shelf-life. It is also known to improve the water-holding capacity of meat products, which can improve their juiciness and tenderness. Despite its many benefits, some studies suggest that excessive consumption of phosphates, including difosfaten, may have adverse health effects, particularly on the kidneys and bones.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
