So, what is difosfater?
Difosfater, also known as disodium diphosphate, is a food-grade chemical additive that acts as a leavening agent, emulsifier, and stabilizer in a variety of food products. It is commonly used in baked goods, such as cakes, bread, and biscuits, to improve their texture and volume. Additionally, it can be found in processed cheese, canned vegetables, and fruit-based products, where it helps to preserve color and maintain consistency. Despite its multifunctional benefits, some studies suggest that consuming large quantities of difosfater may have adverse health effects, such as increasing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
