So, what is ekstra jomfru olivenolie?
Ekstra jomfru olivenolie, or extra virgin olive oil in English, is a premium-grade oil extracted from the fruit of the olive tree. It is known for its distinct fruity aroma and flavor, as well as its numerous health benefits. To qualify as extra virgin, the olives must be pressed within hours of being picked, and the oil must have less than 0.8% acidity. This oil is often used in Mediterranean cuisine for dressings, marinades, and sautéing. Its high smoke point makes it suitable for high-heat cooking as well.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
