So, what is enzymy?
Enzymes are biological molecules that act as catalysts, accelerating chemical reactions within living organisms. These proteins are vital for the proper functioning of many processes, including digestion, metabolism, and cellular repair. In the food industry, enzymes are commonly used to enhance the texture, flavor, and nutritional value of various products. They can break down complex molecules such as carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, making them more easily digestible. Additionally, enzymes can be used to speed up fermentation and aging processes, allowing for the creation of unique and flavorful foods such as cheese, beer, and sourdough bread.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
