So, what is et œuf?
Et œuf, also known as egg yolk, is a popular ingredient used in cooking and baking. It is the yellow, spherical part of the egg surrounded by the white or albumen. Egg yolks are rich in nutrients such as vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as minerals like calcium and iron. They also contain high amounts of cholesterol and fat, making them a great source of energy for the body. When used in cooking, egg yolks can add richness and creaminess to dishes such as sauces, custards, and cakes. Additionally, they can be used as an emulsifier to help ingredients blend together smoothly.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
