So, what is etanol?
Ethanol, also known as ethyl alcohol, is a clear, colorless, and flammable liquid that is widely used as a food ingredient. It is produced through the fermentation of sugars and can be found in a variety of food and beverage products such as beer, wine, and spirits. Ethanol is also commonly used as a solvent in the production of flavorings and extracts. In the food industry, it is used as a preservative, flavor enhancer, and as a component in many cooking extracts. Due to its high alcohol content, ethanol can also be used as a fuel source for cooking and heating.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
