So, what is ethylalkohol?
Ethyl alcohol, also known as ethanol, is a clear, colorless liquid with a slightly sweet and pungent odor. It is a flammable substance that is commonly used as a solvent, fuel, and as an ingredient in alcoholic beverages. Ethyl alcohol is produced through the fermentation of sugars by yeast, which converts the sugars into alcohol and carbon dioxide. It is an important industrial chemical and is used in a wide range of applications, from making perfumes and cosmetics to producing hand sanitizers and disinfectants. Ethyl alcohol is also used as a preservative and flavor enhancer in food products, and is a key ingredient in the production of vinegar and other condiments.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
