So, what is fahéj?
Fahéj, commonly known as cinnamon, is a sweet and fragrant spice that adds warmth and depth to a variety of dishes. With origins in Sri Lanka, it is made from the inner bark of the cinnamon tree and is used both in its whole form as well as ground. Its distinctive flavor profile is often associated with autumnal and winter dishes, but can be used year-round to add a touch of sweetness to everything from baked goods to savory stews. Aside from its culinary uses, cinnamon is also thought to have medicinal properties and has been used in traditional medicine for centuries.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
