So, what is finocchio?
Finocchio, also known as fennel, is a crunchy and aromatic vegetable that is commonly used in Mediterranean cuisine. It has a bulbous white base and long green stalks with feathery leaves. The taste is similar to licorice or anise, and the texture is crisp and refreshing. Finocchio can be eaten raw in salads or cooked in various ways, such as roasted, sautéed, or grilled. It is a good source of fiber, vitamin C, and potassium, and is believed to have several health benefits, including aiding digestion and reducing inflammation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
