So, what is fontina?
Fontina is a semi-soft, cow's milk cheese with a nutty flavor and creamy texture. Originating from the Aosta Valley in Italy, this cheese has been produced since the 12th century. Its pale yellow interior is dotted with small holes and covered by a thin, natural rind. Fontina is versatile and can be used in a variety of dishes, from grilled cheese sandwiches to fondues and quiches. It pairs particularly well with cured meats, crusty bread, and bold red wines. Its rich flavor and smooth texture make it a perfect addition to any cheese board or charcuterie platter.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
