So, what is frischei?

Frischei is a German term that literally translates to "fresh egg." It refers to eggs that are collected directly from the farm or brought to market within a few days of being laid. Frischei has a distinct advantage over regular eggs, as they are generally richer in flavor, have a brighter yolk color, and a firmer texture. Since they are not subjected to prolonged storage or transportation, they retain their natural freshness and nutritional value. Frischei is a versatile ingredient that can be used in a wide range of recipes, including baked goods, sauces, and salads, to add a delicious and healthy boost to any dish.
