So, what is gabardine?
Gabardine is a closely woven, twill fabric with a distinctive diagonal ribbing pattern. It is made from wool, cotton, or a blend of both, and is commonly used in the production of durable, hard-wearing garments such as trench coats, suits, and pants. Gabardine's unique weaving technique gives it excellent water repellency and wind resistance, making it a popular choice for outdoor clothing. In addition to its functional qualities, gabardine also has a classic and sophisticated appearance, making it a favorite among fashion designers and style-conscious individuals. As an ingredient in cooking, gabardine is not commonly used, as it is a fabric and not edible.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
