So, what is gelatina?
Gelatina, also known as gelatin in English, is a protein-based ingredient derived from collagen found in animal connective tissue. It is most commonly used as a gelling agent in desserts, candies, and jellies. Gelatina is colorless, tasteless, and odorless, making it an ideal ingredient for a wide range of recipes. It is also known for its unique texture and ability to dissolve in warm water. In addition to its culinary uses, gelatina has also been used in pharmaceuticals, photography, and as a supplement for joint health.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
