So, what is gierst?
Gierst, also known as millet, is a versatile and nutritious grain that has been cultivated for thousands of years. It is a small, round grain that is pale yellow in color and has a mild, slightly nutty flavor. Gierst is a gluten-free grain, making it a great alternative for those with gluten sensitivities. It is also rich in protein, fiber, and essential minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium. Gierst can be cooked like rice or used in porridges, stews, salads, and even baked goods. This grain is a fantastic addition to any healthy and varied diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
