So, what is gras porc?
Gras porc, also known as pork fat or lard, is a versatile ingredient that has been used in cooking for centuries. It is made by rendering the fat from the pig and has a creamy, smooth texture with a subtle flavor that enhances the taste of food without overpowering it. Gras porc can be used for frying, baking, and sautéing and is often used to make flaky pastries or rich sauces. While high in calories and saturated fats, gras porc is also a good source of vitamin D and can add a unique depth of flavor to your favorite recipes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
